Growing Tree Childcare and Preschool provides programs for both young toddlers (ages 1 to 2 years) and toddlers (ages 2 to 3 years). Infants transition to toddlers once they start walking, which typically occurs between 9 to 17 months. Toddlers primarily learn through imitation and benefit from plenty of opportunities for gross motor activities to support their physical development.
Our environment and schedule are carefully crafted to help toddlers develop expectations, practice emerging skills, and feel secure. Toddlers engage in a wide range of experiences to explore their interests and natural inclinations for development. These experiences include interactions with textures, sounds, colors, shapes, patterns, rhythms, paints, water, light and shadow, drawing, body movement, gestures and sign language, music, storytelling, and reading with teachers.
