Attendance Chart ( Child counts how many girls and how many boys are in attendance, then counts the total of number of children present for the day )

Teacher reads aloud to the children ( Exposing language skills )

Ask question and give compliments ( Provides an opportunity for the other children to think of question related to the another, cognitive growth, expression of feeling )

Introducing the new theme and the calendar, report, the weather ( Routine concept )

Assigning jobs or helping hand ( Children will encourage a community classroom atmosphere )

Open Activity Work Center
Specific skills checks and activities are facilitated by the teachers during activity time.

Chinese Language Art
Children will use large picture, flash cards to recognize and learn Chinese characters in the proper order. Teacher speaks Mandarin only during this session to practice conversation skills in Chinese.

Books
We have an extensive library with a variety of educational and learning books and age-appropriate literature for children. This comfortable area provides a quiet place to read and relax. Book reading strengthens cognitive, listening and language skills.

Arts and Craft
Art projects provide children with opportunities for expanding their creative expression and imagination as well as discover aesthetic pleasure from art itself. Fine motor skills such as holding a paintbrush and cutting paper are developed when children create. We encourage self-directed art projects that are unique for each child.

Outdoor Play / Natural Exploration
Develops children's large motor skills and aids a child's physical development. Climbing structures, swings, sliding board, tricycles, balls scooters and a child size playhouse are included on the playground. Outdoor play strengthens a child's social skills and helps build confidence and self-esteem.

11:15 - 12:00
Math / Science / Computer
Math --
Math activities expose children to numerical concepts such as counting, matching, number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, greater than or less than, and grouping objects into sets. Hands-on experiences encourage the understanding of mathematical concepts.

Science -- Science experience allow children to explore, touch, examine, question, take risk, and discover. A science table is set up year-round to encourage daily experimentation. Simple tools, sensory tables, scales, microscopes, and beakers are a part of the classroom setting.

Computer -- We use computer center in our classroom to encourage social engagement, peer teaching, cognitive learning, and fine motor skills.

Wash Hand / Bathroom / Lunch Time
Children will enjoy warm, nutritious family-style Self-help skills include independent toileting and washing hands. Lunch is also a social time where children learn table manners, healthy eating, and when to say "please" and "thank you" while visiting with other teachers.

Naptime Story
Teacher reads a story to children while they are lying down.Children are encouraged to rest but not required to sleep. They can do quiet activities after 30 minutes of not sleeping.

Open Indoor Discovery Play Zone: Dramatic Play
Children are encouraged to put on puppet shows, dress-up, and engage in pretend play. This area enhances creative expression and imagination, community learning, social role-play, verbal skills, and storytelling by offering a wide variety of multi-cultural and age appropriate materials.Show and Tell-- while children share their own special items from home during this activity, it is also a learning experience, and Show and Tell allows children to develop language and cooperative skills in familiar social context.

Music
Ballet, dancing, guitar and piano activities are designed to help children explore sound and enjoy singing, listening, and moving to music. By performing in front of spectators, family, and peers, children will become comfortable, gain confidence, and develop self-esteem.

Cooking / Restaurant
Children will gain an understanding of the business sector, specifically, the restaurant industry teaches about multicultural food, healthy versus junk food, and money as it relates to math and numbers.Manipulative play-- these activities allow children to develop fine motor control, and eye-hand coordination. Some small motor activities include play-doh, string beads, puzzles, and Lego blocks. This will also implement assembling Thomas the Train setup.

Review day, collect projects or gather information to be taken home.

Dismissal
Departure is the closing routine of a busy day, The children sing the " Good-bye Song", practice self-help skills by putting on their coats and shoes, then gather in the front room, watch educational sing along video, while waiting for parents to arrive.
